Spent a really mellow, relaxing afternoon at the beach with my roommate and his boyfriend.
After a blissfully short half-hour subway ride to fully escape the city, we ended up in Brighton Beach. It's never quite crowded, and today the warm-but-not-hot weather was perfect for packing some snacks (and drinks) and just relaxing.
Let the waves wash your worries away.

Bushwick Open Studios
This past weekend was a fun excuse to mix and mingle with a massive amount of artists in Brooklyn.
Bushwick open studios literally opened the studios of hundreds of artists of all varieties to the public (for free). Everything from graphic to performance art filled streets, buildings and bars in a much welcome weekend of releasing the inner artist and letting our freak flags fly.

Bold Moves
In spite of the dreary, rainy, overall unpleasant weather that is gracing New York today, I've decided to be a bright flash of optimism in an otherwise unwelcoming atmosphere.

Another Week in Winter
So many things can happen in seven days. This week seems to have flown by in a blur, and I feel the need to backpedal to make sure that I didn't miss a moment.
Woke up to the streets of New York covered in snow this morning. It's so much quieter and more muffled that I almost forgot where I was for a moment in time, before the subway whisked me off into Manhattan.
