Back At It

It didn't take me long to sniff out a few thrift stores over here. In fact, I found a street in town that has about 5 of them. They're not the massive Salvation Army warehouse types that I'm used to; they're more like small boutiquey places, each run by a different charity organization. I've already found a dress that I'm loving - this mixed floral number is so cute and easy to wear, and I can throw a cardigan over it to transition into the cooler weather we're already having. Can't wait to keep exploring and see what all these local charity shops have to offer my wardrobe!

Out of Focus

I am so relieved that the infernal heat wave has broken.

What better way to celebrate than by sneakily frolicking in the ivy of Bryant Park?
Most of the photos, unfortunately, came out blurry, but then I just decided,
'Hey, screw it! It looks kind of fairytale-y.'

Vintage dress, "Phoebe", going on sale  tonight, I promise, I'll list it, finally. Had to take some photos first!

Sand and Sun

I love sand dunes. I don't know why, I just do. The grasses gently swaying, the ripples in the sand made by the wind... It's just so peaceful and beautiful to me.
Little hidden treasures between the beach and boardwalk that just brighten my day.

Emerald City

This emerald green vintage knit dress has to be my favorite new find.
I love how it's so easy to wear, super flattering, and the antique-y buttons are gorgeous.
I tried to keep the antique look with my accessories, too. The tarnished silver bracelet has Parisian landmarks engraved in it- my mother bought it in Paris when he was only 14. And the amethyst ring is one of my favorites - I got it several years ago at a flea market in Paris. The necklace is from Lucky and I love the way amethyst looks next to the deep green of the dress.
This entire outfit is revving me up with excitement for my trip to Ireland in April!

Nifty Fifties

I'm feeling very retro in this today. Kind of like a mad-men-meets-pink-Dorothy thing.
The pink glitter belt and fuschia metallic cap toe pumps just make me want to grab a martini and go dancing.
