Soho in summer with Kate yesterday for some shopping and "work". Loved her outfit. And she stole my hat. That's my hat. Just so we're all clear.

So Glad We MET
Spent this past Saturday with my roommate and his lovely mother, aunt, and boyfriend seeing the American Wing and the new Punk exhibit at the MET.
If you haven't seen "PUNK: Chaos to Couture" yet... You should. You just should. It's inspiring and takes me back to my winter and spring in London in '09. I wish photography had been allowed in the exhibit so that I could give a sneak peek, but that was not the case.
Also, weather permitting (we braved a light drizzle of rain), head up to the rooftop garden, where the floor is an inspiring and mildly disturbing painted work by Imran Qureshi.
All in all, a gorgeous weekend despite the rain.

Let it Shine
Enjoying some of this spring weather in NYC before I leave on a jet plane Friday!
Check out this amazing vintage 70s paisley prairie skirt on sale now at www.shopdisowned.com.
Currently busy getting ready for a trip to Ireland, where I hope to roam the Emerald Isle as much as possible. Maybe I'll even score some unique vintage finds (fingers crossed)!!

Scenes from a Saturday
Friday night was lovely; went to RAW artists show in Brooklyn with some lovelies. Head over to www.shopkult.com for some amazing handmade street wear from a very talented friend of mine.
Saturday was a lazy, rainy, working-from-home kind of day. I indulged in some treats though- made my own herbal tea from dried roses, ginger, and lime. And had to have a late night snack, of course!
Hope all had a lovely weekend, despite the dreary weather here!

Jaded
You may have noticed in previous photos of me, I'm constantly wearing a jade bracelet.
It's pretty much a permanent fixture for me, as well as my tiny jade rings. All of these pieces are carved from a solid piece of beautiful, unique stone.
Jade has been appreciated throughout history in a lot of eastern cultures, and has a rich history full of myth and wonder.
I personally love it for its unique details and flaws in coloration- sometimes I think that the more discolored pieces are even more beautiful than that appear to be more uniform.
It's all about embracing the natural and unique. <3
